Your Constraints Are Bullsh**.
85% of people know they can make the world a better place through their individual actions.
We all read the news I presume?
2020 hasn’t been great. Sub-par? Awful? The worst? Just a few that come to mind.
But if I’m typing this and you’re reading this, we are here, right now. Breathing, alive.
And given the state of the world, the state of affairs many face, we are the lucky ones, the fortunate ones.
Perhaps during 2020, you thought to yourself about changing careers to something more impactful - like working in healthcare, education, diversity equity & inclusion, or climate change.
Perhaps during 2020 you lost your job and have had no choice but to think about the next phase of your career.
Perhaps its been just a matter of survival - putting food on the plate for you and your family.
Perhaps you have read the news about the state of our environment, our politics, our culture, and our global healthcare system and thought to yourself, “Shit, there has got to be more we can do.”
So here’s a task:
Think about what might be holding you back from building the life you want for you and your family. Think about what’s holding you back from doing that THING you really WANT to do that you know will have a positive impact on the world.
Write down 10 constraints that are holding you back. (examples: not enough time, not enough money, not the right skills, not smart enough, not talented enough, too busy, etc).
Then strike-through all of them.
Print it out, put it somewhere where you can see and hold it.
Now let’s get to work.
